Welcome to the Maize Oligonucleotide Array Project

Project Status

September 10, 2008

Welcome to the Maize Oligonucleotide Array homepage. Initiated in October, 2003 with generous support from the National Science Foundation Plant Genome Research Program (NSF DBI 0321663) this project was a joint effort of the University of Arizona, The Institute for Genomic Research, and the University of Wisconsin. The goal of this project was to provide a low-cost comprehensive gene expression microarray resource for the important crop plant maize (Zea mays L.). On September 30, 2007, NSF PGRP funding for this project ended. However, we remain committed, on a cost recovery basis, to:

  • Providing maize oligonucleotide arrays and further developing the maize array platform.
  • Supporting existing informatics based resources for past and current array users to the extent that it is possible.
  • Offering a microarray workshop incorporating wet lab and data analysis instruction on an annual basis. Please take a look at the information on the upcoming workshop in January 2010!
  • Providing a hybridization service, for which you send us the RNA and we send you the hybridization data. Please contact Dr. Jaroslav Janda (janda@cals.arizona.edu) if you are interested in this service.

  • Please contact Dr. David Galbraith (galbraith@arizona.edu) with any questions about maize microarray project resources.
