Welcome to the Maize Oligonucleotide Array Project

Project Status

March 20, 2008

Welcome to the Maize Oligonucleotide Array homepage. Initiated in October, 2003 with generous support from the National Science Foundation Plant Genome Research Program (NSF DBI 0321663) this project was a joint effort of the University of Arizona, The Institute for Genomic Research, and the University of Wisconsin. The goal of this project was to provide a low-cost comprehensive gene expression microarray resource for the important crop plant maize (Zea mays L.). On September 30, 2007, NSF PGRP funding for this project ended. However, we remain committed to:

  • Providing maize oligonucleotide arrays until the current oligonucleotide stocks are depleted.
  • Supporting existing informatics based resources for past and current array users to the extent that it is financially possible.
  • Offering a microarray workshop incorporating wet lab and data analysis instruction on an annual basis.

  • Please contact Dr. Roger Barthelson (rogerab@cals.arizona.edu) with any questions about maize microarray project resources.
